So just keep an extra cartridge or 3 around with this machine if doing alot of color printing.

So it's difficult to know how much ink is left because the software isn't reading the levels correctly with refills.
It will still print with thee cartridges, but the error warnings are annoying. The only thing that is a drawback is the ink is expensive from HP and you can use refills, but the software for the HP has problems recognizing re-filled cartridges sometimes and tells you they are empty and need to be changed. Drilling uids that produce low-quality or thick lter cakes may also cause tight hole conditions, including stuck pipe, difculty in running cas- ing. Very capable of high-quality images up to 81/2x 11 and doc printing is excellent. I'm a professional photographer and use these for printing for my work when I don't need 8-color for my prints.saves on ink and still gives me results that commpare 90% with my 8-color printers. I've now owned two of these printers.the first one finally died because we had a power surge at the house and it wasn't plugged into a protector.
